From first ideas to a concrete concept:
The creation of a unique leadership format.
As an organizational psychologist, my work allows me to gain insights not only into the structural dynamics of organizations, but also into the deeper emotional realities of the people within them. Over the past twelve years, I have observed the same pattern again and again: leaders face remarkably similar, often highly complex and emotionally demanding cultural challenges, yet many of them navigate these situations alone.
For years, I have therefore been searching for a way to create a space where leaders can step out of this isolation, exchange perspectives in a trusted environment, and support one another with ideas and solutions. Numerous ideas emerged along the way, some were tested, refined, and ultimately set aside, until the idea of a leadership book club began to take shape in 2024.
What may sound simple at first evolved into a tangible concept through a pilot program and the valuable feedback of its participants. Their encouraging words, constructive suggestions, and practical insights played an essential role in shaping the book club as it exists today.
To ensure that this idea would not get lost in the demands of everyday work, I decided to enroll in a Neuro-MBA program. The program not only motivated me to stay committed to the project but also gave the book club its final polish: a format based on neuroscience and designed to meet the realities of modern working life and the standards of effective learning.
After a year of intensive work, great dedication, moments of uncertainty, and many rewarding and joyful milestones, the book club is now ready to launch.
My sincere thanks go to all the people who contributed in different ways to making this book club a reality.

We connect leaders across organizations to foster meaningful exchange, continuous learning, and stronger collaboration.

A future where leaders openly share challenges and ideas across organizations - making collaboration and learning beyond boundaries the norm.

Integrating neuroscience insights into the book club concept makes it possible to go beyond traditional learning and create a truly effective learning experience.
When leaders share ideas in a protected space, genuine connections form. This sense of belonging fuels motivation and sustains engagement over the long term.
Stepping beyond one's own perspective, sharing experiences, and discovering new viewpoints trigger dopamine release — naturally increasing motivation and the joy of learning.
Engaging reflectively with book content, practical examples, and one's own leadership experience activates the prefrontal cortex — the brain region responsible for planning, problem-solving, and goal-directed action. This makes it possible to apply insights directly in practice.
Regular interaction and consistent reading activate the brain's reward system and strengthen synaptic connections, transforming learning and personal growth into lasting habits.

So that we can learn, grow, and create genuine connections together.
Share your thoughts and experiences openly and create a space of psychological safety together. Only then will everyone feel comfortable contributing – because the book club thrives on genuine exchange.
Draw on the experiences and insights of other organizations as a valuable resource for your own growth. Treat shared content with respect and confidentiality, and stay open to the inspiration new perspectives bring.
Regular reading and active participation allow us to move through the learning process together. Your involvement strengthens not only your personal development, but motivates the entire group.
